Every time the automation performs an action we count it as 1 action. As an example ->

If the automation made 1 link or performed one status change, it's counted as 1 action.

If it made 10 links at once, it's counted as 10 actions.

Connected Boards Automations app uses monday's API to make changes. Every account has some limit to the number of actions they're able to perform per minute via the API.

If you've made a lot of changes at once, it's likely that you've hit your limit of actions for 1 minute.

Don't worry - We have a built in retry mechanism which means that once your limit if refreshed (after 1 minute) we'll continue to execute your automations.

You will never be automatically upgraded. At the beginning of each month your automations quota will be refreshed. If you hit your tier's automation cap, your automations will be disabled until the following month when your quota is refreshed, or until you upgrade to the next available tier.

When setting up a link automation, the connection will be made on the board in which you set up the automation.

This means that if you're on Board A, you add the link automation with checks for a match in Board B - the connection will made in the connected column of Board A.

The reverse automation allows the exact same thing but sets the connection on the connected boards column of Board B.

The automation is limited to 10 boards only.

If your connected boards column is connected to more than 10 boards - only 10 will be used.

The automation applies only to boards that were connected when the automation was created and will NOT be working with newly added boards.

If you wish to change the boards connected, you will need to remove the automation, add/remove boards from the column configuration and re-add the automation.

You can only select a board to connect to which is configured in your "connected boards column".

Therefore, before selecting a board you need to select the connected boards column to use in "this connect column" field.

Every connected boards column is connected to certain boards based on its configuration in the board.

If the board you wish to connect to doesn't show, add it to the connected boards configuration and then go back to the automation and select it.

You can match column that hold similar type of information. As an example, you can match numbers with text but you can match any type of text into any type of text.

Yes. The matching between columns is case sensitive.

If you set up your automation to match for example between text column in board A and another text column in board B, the text needs to be exactly the same and it includes if letters are capitalized or not.

Yes. For matching between status columns you need to have the same labels - this includes both label color and text (also reminding you that the text is case sensitive).
